Which privacy trees do well near the shore?
Green Giant Arborvitae is the one we plant most. It grows fast, deer tend to leave it alone, and it handles life near the coast. Leyland Cypress puts on height the quickest. Emerald Green fits narrow spots. Skip Laurel and holly are good picks where there is some shade. We pick the tree based on your soil, the space you have and how tall you want the screen.
When will the screen actually block the view?
That comes down to the size you buy. Bigger trees block the view from the first day. Smaller ones cost less now and usually fill the gaps in two or three growing seasons.
What do you do to make sure the trees live?
We plant every tree the way it needs to survive. That means the right depth, improved soil in the hole, room between trees, and clear watering steps when we finish. Be straight with us about your yard, sun, salt and wind, and we will tell you what will really grow there.
How soon can you plant?
